10th Ave. & Midland St. Storm Improvements

American West Construction was responsible for the construction of storm sewers, manholes, inlets, and headwalls within the project limits of Midland Street, spanning from North 9th Place to North 10th Avenue, as well as Brighton Park. The project aimed to address and mitigate the frequent street flooding events that have been a persistent issue in the area.

The scope of work included the installation of a headwall and the implementation of a new Nyoplast and HDPE storm line system, designed to effectively manage and alleviate stormwater flooding. During the course of construction, the adjacent parking lot, which featured thin asphalt, deteriorated due to the heavy equipment used. Consequently, the parking lot required a complete replacement.
