American West Construction continued to support Hope House at their annual gala this year. 2016 brought a new idea and an incredible result. We thought it would be fun to offer something unique for the annual auction. The item we put up for bid was a heavy equipment operating experience. The successful bidder would get an outing to a job site where they would operate some of the heavy iron associated with dirt work. In addition, the entire experience would be filmed with a drone to provide an aerial memory of the event.

The bidding was fast and furious with three bidders battling to capture the prize. When the bid landed at $6,000.00 the auctioneer asked American West’s President, Paul Snyder, if he would consider donating two additional construction experiences. He agreed and three contributions brought in $18,000.00 to this remarkable organization.

What a great night! In the end, the Hope House Gala raised $302,524, which allows them to continue empowering teen moms from all over the Denver-metro community through their free self-sufficiency programs. This is a great organization and American West Construction is proud to be a supporter.
